Subject Fees and Special Requirements

General School Contribution

The General School Contribution is used to supplement school funds to allow us to provide additional educational opportunities for our students.  It is used to cover some of the cost of textbooks and general equipment, examination papers, sporting equipment, library books and miscellaneous expenses.  Some subjects have an additional Subject Contribution to cover the cost of equipment and materials used by the student.  They do not cover the cost of exercise books, pens, etc

For 2009, the Finance Committee has set the following financial contributions ...

Years 7, 8, 9 and 10            -         General School Contribution              $50 per year

Years 11 and 12                  -         General School Contribution              $60 per year

For families with a number of students enrolled at Kurri Kurri High School, the maximum family contribution is $90 per year.

Most subjects also have special requirements of materials required to be provided by students and some subjects also attract a subject contribution.  Please contact the school for information regarding specific subject fees.

All students have been provided with a homework/study diary by the school.  This has been made possible by financial support from Hydro Aluminium Kurri Kurri PTY LTD and our school P&C Association.

Financial Assistance

To ease the financial burden, the General School Contribution can be paid in instalments throughout the year.  Student Assistant Scheme funds are available for families who are having trouble meeting the cost of the Subject Contributions and/or school uniforms.  Please contact the office for an application form.
