About Us

Kurri Kurri High School is a progressive centre of learning with an enrolment of about 800 students from Year 7 to Year 12.

We offer an excellent, comprehensive education for all students  in a broad range of subjects offered at all levels.  Our innovative learning programs focus on developing confident, articulate students and talented future leaders.  Effective pastoral care and leadership programs and a range of sporting and cultural opportunities will be an integral part of your child's experience at Kurri Kurri High School.

Positive, proactive programs in literacy, numeracy, Aboriginal education, authentic assessment, religious education, sport and GATS education operate at Kurri Kurri High School.

Situated in the Hunter Valley between Maitland and Cessnock, our school serves the Kurri Kurri area, Pelaw Main, Weston, Mulbring, Stanford Merthyr and Heddon Greta.  We form a united relationship with the Kurri Kurri Learning Community.

Officially opened in 1956, Kurri Kurri High School held its 50 Years Celebrations in August 2006.
